Mental Health Music Mondays: June & July 2026

If you follow me over on Facebook or Instagram, you may have seen my weekly posts on Mondays recommending music with mental health themes. I started this as a way to challenge myself to post consistently (which I’m still not the best at, honestly) and to share the songs that I’ve related to. Music has an incredible way of expressing the thoughts and emotions that we don’t always know how to put into words. Anxious? There’s a song for that. Insecure? Been there, and there’s a song for that, too. Depressed? You get the idea.

High-achieving and highly sensitive women and teen girls often feel like they have to hide their true feelings behind a brave smile—a mask they wear for the world, even as they’re breaking apart inside. But your feelings aren’t the enemy, and it’s healthy to let yourself feel them, even if they feel like a hot mess. So I invite you to check out the songs below and give yourself permission to feel whatever they may bring up.

Note: Some songs may include explicit language, so please exercise caution before listening. Clean versions of these songs may be available, but may not be linked.

Which song did you resonate with most? If you have any musical recommendations, I’d love to update my playlist! Please send me a text or email with your favorite mental health music.

And if you haven’t already, be sure to follow me on my socials for practice updates, information on mental health, and encouragement. Here’s a sneak peek of my Instagram feed :)
